The Redmi K70 Pro is set to feature a novel 1/1.55-inch image sensor named Light and Shadow Hunter 800.
On November 29, Xiaomi is set to unveil the Redmi K70 Pro, alongside the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70E. Prior to the launch, the Chinese tech company has shared various teasers revealing key specifications of the smartphone. The Redmi K70 Pro is officially confirmed to boast a Huaxing C8 OLED display with a 2K resolution. Additionally, it will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
Recent Weibo posts from Xiaomi have further detailed the display features of the Redmi K70 Pro. The device will sport a 6.67-inch Huaxing C8 OLED display with a 2K resolution, a peak brightness of up to 4000 nits, and manual brightness reaching 700 nits. The screen is designed to support 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The handset’s generative AI features aim to reduce blue light emission by 5 percent.
In terms of imaging, the Redmi K70 Pro will incorporate a new image sensor named Light and Shadow Hunter 800, featuring a 1/1.55-inch sensor size, 2-micron pixel size, and a 13.2EV native ultra-dynamic range.
The Redmi K70 Pro, already confirmed to house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, will include a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 2x optical zoom. Additionally, the device will feature a new ice-cooling system and a 7.49mm thick glass body.
The Redmi K70 series will consist of three models: Redmi K70, Redmi K70E (equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra SoC), and Redmi K70 Pro. All three models will run on Xiaomi’s self-developed HyperOS operating system layered on Android 14.
Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi K70 series launch event will take place in China on November 29 at 7:00 pm local time (4:30 pm IST). Alongside the smartphones, the Redmi Book 16 (2024) laptop, Redmi Watch 4, and Redmi Buds 5 Pro true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones are also set to make their debut.
