The OnePlus 12 is set to run on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 System-on-Chip (SoC).
The OnePlus 12 is scheduled for launch in China on December 5, succeeding the OnePlus 11 5G introduced in February this year. Essential specifications such as the processor, camera, and color options were previously confirmed by OnePlus. The company has now revealed additional details about the handset, including the battery, charging capabilities, and connectivity options. Live images of the phone have been shared by a top OnePlus executive, and further leaked images online provide insights into key specifications.
Li Jie Louis, OnePlus China President, showcased live images of the OnePlus 12 in Pale Green and White color variants. The green variant features a marble-like finish on the back panel, and a third Rock Black color option is also confirmed for the launch.
OnePlus has officially disclosed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a 5,400mAh battery supporting 100W wired SuperVOOC charging, 50W wireless charging, and wireless reverse charging. The claimed charging times are impressive, with the phone going from 0 to 100 percent in 26 minutes through wired charging and 55 minutes through wireless charging. OnePlus asserts that the battery life of the OnePlus 12 surpasses that of competing flagship Pro models, boasting a DOU (days of usage) of 1.79 days.
The OnePlus 12 will introduce a “multi-functional infrared remote control function” for controlling home appliances via the handset. It will also include “all-region multi-functional NFC” and support the new low-power Bluetooth 5.4.
In a separate announcement, OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will offer rapid connectivity with USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 and carry an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Leaked live images on Weibo hint at additional specifications of the OnePlus 12, identified by the model number PDJ110. The phone is expected to launch in three RAM + storage configurations: 16GB + 512GB, 16GB + 1TB, and 24GB + 1TB. The images suggest a 6.82-inch display and a 32-megapixel front camera.
The OnePlus 12’s camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 primary sensor, a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom. Running on Android 14-based ColorOS 14 and powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the handset features a ProXDR display with a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits, 2K resolution, and DisplayMate’s A+ certification.
