A global launch for the OnePlus 12 might take place one month later.

The launch date for the OnePlus 12 has been brought forward and is now set to be officially revealed in China on December 5. Initially, it was indicated that the phone would be introduced during the company’s 10th-anniversary celebrations. Just days ahead of the official debut, OnePlus has shared high-quality images showcasing the design of its upcoming flagship smartphone. The official renders validate the leaked schematics and images that have surfaced in recent weeks. The OnePlus 12 features a hole-punch display design and incorporates a triple camera setup at the rear adorned with Hasselblad branding.

Merely a day after teasing Pale Green, Rock Black, and White color options (translated from Chinese) for the OnePlus 12, OnePlus has unveiled the official appearance of the handset via Weibo. The renders reveal a punch-hole cutout in the display to accommodate the selfie camera, along with curved edges and slim bezels surrounding the display. On the back, the device showcases a circular camera module with the Hasselblad logo in the center.

The images released by the brand showcase a design similar to its predecessor — the OnePlus 11, which debuted in China in January. Notably, the previously leaked renders from sources like Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks) and others seem to have been largely accurate.

The OnePlus 12 is set to launch in the Chinese market on December 5 at 2:30 pm local time (12:00 pm IST), following the company’s 10th-anniversary celebrations on the preceding day. OnePlus is currently accepting pre-reservations for the phone through its official online store and JD.com. A global launch is anticipated in January.

The upcoming OnePlus 12 is slated to feature a BOE ProXDR display with 2K resolution and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. It claims the distinction of being the first smartphone in China with a 2K resolution display to receive A+ certification from DisplayMate. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, it will incorporate a new-generation X-axis motor for gaming. The phone is teased to run on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 and will include a Sony LYTIA LYT808 primary rear camera sensor, along with a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
