The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra operates on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC for enhanced performance.

Earlier this year in July, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra made its debut in Nigeria. Equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, the phone boasts a 3,800mAh battery supporting 30W wired and 5W wireless charging. Alongside it, the base Motorola Razr 40 was also unveiled, featuring a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and a 4,200mAh battery with 30W fast charging. Initially launched with a single storage option and two color choices, the Razr 40 Ultra has now introduced a third new color.

In terms of pricing and availability in Nigeria, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is presented in a single 8GB + 256GB variant. Initially listed at Rs. 89,999 with Infinite Black and Viva Magenta color options, it can now be found on Amazon at a reduced price of Rs. 79,999, including an additional Glacier Blue colorway. As of the current writing, the new color variant had not yet been listed on the Motorola Nigeria website.

Delving into the specifications and features, Motorola’s premium clamshell foldable showcases a 6.9-inch full-HD+ pOLED inner display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. The outer screen boasts a 3.6-inch pOLED panel with a resolution of 1,056×1,066 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The cover panel of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is fortified with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for added protection.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC built on a 4nm architecture, coupled with an Adreno 730 GPU. It features 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, running on the Android 13 operating system right out of the box.

In the camera department, the Razr 40 Ultra boasts a dual-camera setup, comprising a 12-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 13-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens. Additionally, there’s a 32-megapixel sensor on the inner display for capturing selfies.

Powering the device is a 3,800mAh battery, supporting 30W wired charging and 5W wireless charging. The Razr 40 Ultra also holds an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance. When unfolded, the handset measures 170.83mm x 73.85mm x 6.99mm, while in its folded state, it measures 88.42mm x 73.95mm x 15.1mm, weighing in at 189 grams. Security is ensured through a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
