It’s rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup will feature both Exynos and Snapdragon processors.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is poised for an imminent launch, succeeding the Galaxy S23 series released in February of the current year. Speculation and rumors surrounding Samsung’s upcoming flagship series began shortly after the previous smartphones’ release. As with previous lineups, the new series of smartphones is expected to comprise three models: the standard Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Numerous leaks and reports have surfaced, shedding light on key details of these presumed models. A recent report suggests that the lineup may debut sooner than anticipated.

According to a report from SBS Biz, the Galaxy S24 series is set to be unveiled on January 17 at an event in San Francisco, USA. This aligns with earlier speculations that hinted at a launch occurring between early to mid-January.

The report implies that Samsung is considering an earlier release for the Galaxy S24 series, viewing it as a pivotal product to improve its financial performance. The company faced lower-than-expected results in its semiconductor business and experienced challenges with sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, both introduced during a Galaxy Unpacked event held in Seoul on July 26.

It is surmised that this decision may also be influenced by the desire to keep pace with its competitor, Apple, which unveiled its iPhone 15 series in September. Notably, the Galaxy S23 series was launched this year on February 17, and the year before that, the South Korean tech giant introduced its Galaxy S22 flagship models on February 10, 2022. By advancing the launch of the Galaxy S24 lineup, the company may be aiming to offer stiffer competition to its market rivals.

Additionally, the Galaxy S23 FE model is expected to be released in South Korea on December 1 at a price of KRW 800,000. This move is also seen as an attempt to counter the slow sales of the Galaxy S23 series, which were thought to be a result of a general economic downturn in the country. The company anticipates that the mid-range Fan Edition model will help boost sales.
