There’s a suggestion that the OnePlus 12 will include a 5,400mAh battery and offer support for wireless charging at 50W.
Ahead of its official launch, alleged OnePlus 12 specifications have made an appearance on the China Compulsory Certification (3C) website. The listing hints at support for 100W fast charging, which is on par with the wired charging speeds of the OnePlus 11. The upcoming OnePlus 12 is expected to house a 5,400mAh battery. It has already been confirmed that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Additionally, the flagship smartphone is teased to feature a DisplayMate A+ rated X1 “Oriental Screen” with a 2K resolution and an impressive peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
As per the 3C listing, initially spotted by tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 12 will come with a bundled charger offering a maximum output of 9.1 amperes at 11 volts, indicating support for 100W wired charging, similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus 11. The tipster also suggests that the phone will support 50W wireless charging and house a 5,400mAh battery.
The OnePlus 12 is already confirmed to be equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a primary rear camera sensor from Sony, the LYTIA LYT808. It is expected to feature the DisplayMate A+ rated X1 “Oriental Screen” with a 2K resolution and an impressive peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
Based on previous rumors, the phone is likely to run on OxygenOS 14, which is based on Android 14. The camera setup is rumored to consist of a triple rear camera configuration, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide telephoto sensor, and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom and hybrid zoom capabilities. Additionally, it’s expected to feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera and include familiar OnePlus features such as an alert slider and an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication.
The OnePlus 12 is anticipated to be launched in global markets in January of the following year, with a potential unveiling in China the month before. The OnePlus 11 5G was introduced in India in February at a starting price of Rs. 56,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
