The global launch of the OnePlus 12 might occur one month later.
The launch date for the OnePlus 12 has been moved up, and it is now scheduled to be officially unveiled in China on December 5. Initially, it was anticipated that the phone would be introduced during the company’s 10th-anniversary celebrations. Just ahead of its official debut, OnePlus has released high-quality images showcasing the design of its upcoming flagship smartphone. These official renders align with the leaked schematics and renders that have circulated over the past few weeks. The OnePlus 12 boasts a hole-punch display design and features a triple camera setup at the rear, proudly carrying the Hasselblad branding.
Shortly after teasing Pale Green, Rock Black, and White color options for the OnePlus 12, OnePlus has revealed the official appearance of the handset on Weibo. The renders depict a punch-hole cutout in the display to accommodate the selfie camera, along with curved edges and minimal bezels surrounding the display. On the back, the device showcases a circular camera module with the Hasselblad logo in the center.
The images shared by the brand reveal a design reminiscent of its predecessor, the OnePlus 11, which was launched in China in January. As evident, the previously leaked renders from sources like Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks) and others seem to have been largely accurate.
The OnePlus 12 is set to debut in the Chinese market on December 5 at 2:30 pm local time (12:00 pm IST), following the company’s 10th-anniversary celebrations on the preceding day. Pre-reservations for the phone are currently open through OnePlus’ official online store and JD.com. A global launch is anticipated in January.
The upcoming OnePlus 12 will feature a BOE ProXDR display with 2K resolution and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. It claims the distinction of being the first smartphone in China with a 2K resolution display to receive A+ certification from DisplayMate. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, it will include a new generation X-axis motor for gaming. The phone is teased to run on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 and will incorporate a Sony LYTIA LYT808 primary rear camera sensor along with a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
